Krystal's Ice Blastby ~scificat

Well I wanted to create a complex piece for this one and I think I used every art and Photoshop technique I know.

I'm really pleased with the results and after finishing it and staring at it for a while I realized how such and incredibly popular character such as Krystal is being completely pushed aside by Nintendo. It almost makes me sad that Rareware conceded her right over. Maybe by now we would have had a true Dinosaur Planet game as it was first envisioned before the whole StarFox franchise got shoehorned into it, I like StarFox, but from the very beggining it was clear that Krystal was going to be the lead in Dinosaur Planet and not Fox McCloud.

How frustrating must it be for her original creator see how things have turned out. As a personal note I would like to say that it would be an honor to meet the artist that created her and shake his/her hand. Does anybody know the name of this person?

I like this. Krystal's tail is a "little long" but hey! It'd make a nice pillow, blanket, and bed! I never did freeze too many sharpclaw, I just beat the shit out of them until they stopped moving.

This is beautiful! I love the positions, and the movement of Krystal's cloth was captured perfectly! Amazing job!

I admit, it's sad to see Krystal's role destroyed in Adventures, I loved playing as her in the beginning, and I wish there was more to it like Dinosaur Planet was supposed to have. Krystal would have been an amazing Starfox character as well though, if they had actually done it right. After she was handed over to the series, the poor girl was given a horrid "stereotypical" sort of pesonality. It's sad when an amazing character with so much potential is lost like that.
*cough* Sorry about that rant there. But as an aspiring character designer myself, that kind of stuff just gets to me. ^^'
